Creamy cajun pasta

Creamy cajun pasta

This is one of my favorite recipes to make and I have had it for years. I don’t know the origin of this recipe but it is  great one. It’s spicy and I throw in seafood which makes it extra yummy. If you do not like seafood you can substitute it with chicken instead. I always add extra garlic as well.

Ingredients

1 tsp. minced garlic or as many cloves as you like

2 tbsp. butter ( I use unsalted )

1 tbsp. Cajun powder

Seafood or chicken

1/3 c. chopped green onions

1 c. heavy cream

12 oz. cooked spaghetti

2 tbsp. chopped parsley

Parmesan cheese

Cooking Directions

Cook pasta according to directions on box.

Cook garlic in butter in a skillet over medium high heat for about 30 seconds.

Stir in seafood or chicken with seasoning mix until lightly browned and cooked.

Stir in green onions and cook 1 minute.

Add the cream and increase heat. Let it boil until slightly thickened, about 2 minutes. Combine seafood / chicken, sauce, spaghetti and parsley.

Top with Parmesan cheese.
