Indiepublic is a great Web site and social networking site for artist and crafters of all kinds. If you are a independent artist or crafter and have an Etsy account or sell from a personal Web site, then Indiepublic is a must site to join. Oh and it’s all free.
Indiepublic is a social networking site, sort of like Myspace or Facebook, where artist and crafters come together to promote their art, meet other artists, and get information on art festivals and events. The site offers a forum section and a groups section where people can join together. If one chooses they can also purchase advertisement space for their indie shop.
I recently decided to join Indiepublic to see how the site worked and if it was worth joining. I have been a member for two days and so far I have joined six groups and have added a few friends. I did the self promoting as well, so we will see if this site brings more viewers to my Etsy shop.
