Treasury’s on Etsy
So last night I was doing my routine of sketching art and playing around on the art site Etsy when I finally got the chance to put together a little thing called a treasury. A treasury on Etsy is a promotional tool that allows the seller (me) to put together a gallery of items that I think should be featured on the front page. The seller and person creating the treasuring can not put any of their item in this list because it is not made to promote your own items. Getting a treasury is very hard because it is such a high demand and I was so excited and lucky to get the chance last night to create one.
I chose to do an all pink theme, since it is my favorite color. I chose mostly items from sellers that either had no sales yet and were new to Etsy, or items that were just my favorite. I ranged items from artwork to soap to toys. I tried to have a wide variety and maybe it will also bring viewers to my shop. The goal of a treasury is to have fun with it, to promote the handmade items you like, and to hopefully make it onto the front page of Etsy.
