When I was young, I remember my mother having a quilt that she absolutely loved. It was handmade by my great aunt and given to my mother when she moved into her own house. My mother would always tell me to be careful with the quilt because she wouldn’t be able to replace it and it was a beautiful piece of art.
Mimi Dowell, like my great aunt, is a quilter and a natural artist. Located in Titusville, Florida, she has been sewing for about 20 years and started when she was about years old. Mimi has worked in a quilt shop for the past 6 years and loves to sew and create different things. Quilting is her passion. Mimi make quilts, quilt jackets, bags, and totes to name a few.
