From Lavender come Beads

Andrea Kiernan, a very unique artist, who gets her ideas to create her pieces from nature. She showcases her original Lavender Glass Beads which are her unique copyrighted design inspired by the beautiful organic lavender farm where she works. Each bead is hand-crafted with a specific variety of lavender in mind, no two are exactly alike. She writes, “ We are in the final stages of the lavender harvest at the farm. The distillery has been running, making essential oil and the drying barn is filled with fresh cut bundles of lavender.”

Andrea makes each bead from hand in her home studio on San Juan Island in Washington state. Her beads are recognized in the art glass bead world and have been published in Bead & Button, Bead Unique and Bead Style magazines. Last year her lavender glass bead jewelry was included in a beautiful full color coffee table book about jewelry design, beads and inspiration. She also sheared her work in this year’s Bead Review 3, an annual publication which showcases the exciting talent of the international bead making community.
