It’s Not Gold
It’s Not Gold
Thimbles and jewelry, who would have thought? Thimbles have always been used by sewers to protect their fingers from the sharp prickly needles, but to make jewelry. One jewelry maker has combined these two arts together to make beautiful pieces of jewelry. Susana is the artist and she is from Lisbon, Portugal. She first started making jewelry in 2000, but came up with the idea to combine thimbles with jewelry in 2007. Susana loves using unusual materials, so she began to develop a collection of thimble jewelry, that includes earrings, necklaces and pins.
Susana works during the day restoring antique art pieces, but her true love is creating her art pieces. She also is interested in illustration and comic art and has participated in some exhibitions and has had some work published. She is always happy about doing custom orders, so just ask.
Where you can find her….
