Easy Biscuit Variations
Easy Biscuit Variations
Biscuits are always a favorite in my book to add as a side to any dinner. They can be flaky or plump and are always warm and savory. I usually make biscuits with my pasta dishes, or with fish, and with every holiday dinner. They sell pre made biscuits that all you need to do is warm up or they sell the Pillsbury biscuit dough. Both are fine to use and are very tasty, but making your own biscuits are just as easy. Below are different variations you can choose to use when making biscuits.
What you need…
biscuit mix - which is usually pancake or all purpose baking mix.
Read the direction on the box - usually the ingredients include milk and butter.
Prepare biscuits according to box directions. When you get to the mixing part, you can add different ingredients to make a different taste to the biscuit. Use your imagination and bring that extra touch to each dinner.
Some variations…
Blue cheese biscuits… add 1/2 cup blue cheese to mix. Top with melted butter and parsley.
Garlic and parmesan biscuits…add 1 teaspoon minced garlic and 1/2 cup parmesan cheese to mix.
Roasted red pepper and parmesan cheese biscuit…add 1/2 cup roasted red peppers and 1/2 cup parmesan cheese to mix.
