Create your own Glass Ornaments

Create your own Glass Ornaments

The holiday season is creeping up behind us and everyone is slowing getting into that joyous spirit. Ornaments have always been a big part of the holidays and are a tradition in many households. I have many ornaments that when I look at them, remind me of a special moment that happened with my family.

Creating your own ornaments can be just as easy as buying one from the store and is fun for the family to do. I made these glass ornaments last year and gave them out as gifts.

What you need….

Pre-made glass bulb ornaments (any size) from your local craft store.

Acrylic paint in the tube from your local craft store (any color that you want).

Ribbon to decorate and loop for the string hanger

What you need to do….

Take the top off the glass ornament.

Choose the color paint you want and start to pour the paint (just a little and slowly) inside of the ornament.

Move the ornament around in a circler motion. This will move the paint around to get the desired affect.

Once all the glass in cover in paint, or just where you want it, let dry over night.

Once dry, place the top part of the ornament back on, tie the ribbon around the top part, and tie a lop fro the hook.
