Recently I found a cute and very unique looking sock puppet and the little company that developed and sold it. The company is called Socktopus and is a tiny company that is located in the seaside town of Anacortes, WA. The company makes and carries clothing, sock monkeys, and stuffed animals that are all handmade. These items include octopi, kitties, owls, and DIY kits for the animal puppets.
The little puppets that are in the shop, were created by designer Clarity Miller. Each puppet is made by Clarity’s hand and from her home. This allows the artist to stay at home with her child. You can also find her creations at a shop called blackbirdfashion where she sells sock puppets from recycled material. You can also make these sock puppets at home with the DIY kit that she sells as well.
