Really Great Eggnog
Really Great Eggnog
I was never an Eggnog drinker and swore I would never like it, but I tried the yummy festive drink a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I first had it at a friends house and it was not the store bought kind. She made it from scratch and added rum to those glasses who wanted it. I tried the store bought kind last Christmas, but it was not comparable to the fresh homemade Eggnog. This year I decided to try out making my own. I got this great recipe off of recipes.com and it is a good one.
Get your festive glasses out for this one.
Enjoy!

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Slowly bring milk mixture to a boil.
In a large bowl, combine egg yolks and sugar.
Whisk together until fluffy.
Whisk hot milk mixture slowly into the eggs.
Pour mixture into saucepan.
