Create your own Personalized Wine Glasses

Create your own Personalized Wine Glasses

When doing my holiday shopping I usually find some really great gift ideas that I know I can make myself and for less money. Also making something usually comes more from the heart then just buying something from the store. This year, I went to Pier 1 Imports to get some crafty ideas and it worked. I found these festive and really pretty martini and wine glasses that were decorated with different holiday images. The images included stockings and ornaments that were painted on the outside.

I liked these glasses so much, that I decided to make some myself. I purchased clear wine glasses at a discount store and purchased glass paint from the craft store. The paint must be for glass and depending on the purpose of the glass, should be washer safe. If the glass is just for decoration, acrylic paint will be fine. Glitter can be used as well if just for decorative glasses only.

I then washed the glasses, made sure they were dry, and started to paint. I did one pair of glasses in blue and white paint with snow flake images. The other set, I decorated with ornaments in gold and red paint. I let the paint dry and thats it, two sets of personalized wine glasses.
